Commercial Vehicles / Trucks: NEW TATA 3S CENTRE UNDER RS SUPER TRUCK & BUS SDN BHD OPENS IN BIDOR

TATA has a new 3S Centre in Bidor, Perak. This new sales, after sales, spares and service centre is operated by the recently appointed dealer RS Super Truck & Bus Sdn Bhd. With this new 3S centre, DRB-HICOM Vehicles Sdn Bhd who are authorised distributors of TATA vehicles here have another touchpoint to service its customer base here in Peninsular Malaysia.

 Tata Xenon Food Truck

The new centre is located strategically in the small town of Bidor, Perak. Its central Perak location makes it convenient for customers from neighbouring towns (like Tapah, Kampar and Slim River and even Tanjung Malim or Ipoh). The showroom of this new centre is quite large as it can accomodate up to six Tata vehicles at a time. Currently, a Tata Xenon Double & Single Cab Pick-up, Ultra 512 (GVW: 5,000kg), Ultra 1012 (GVW: 10,400kg), Prima 4x2 and 6x4 prime mover shares this space. No, it may not look like much but, hey, it is a commercial vehicle showroom okay.

Tata Xenon Pick Up with Tipper

It seems that RS Super Truck & Bus is now aggressively promoting TATA trucks. We are aware that they have been in the commercial vehicle sales and service industry for a while already and now, they've decided to move with TATA. Quite upbeat about it too as they are also planning to open another Sales Centre (1S) in Bukit Tengah, Penang by early 2018 as part of their plan to aggressively market Tata products in the northern region. We wish them all the best!

TATA Ultra Flatbed Car Carrier and Wooden Cargo Body variants

As for the TATA sales performance in Malaysia, Tata in 2016 was placed 10th out of 28 active commercial vehicle players in Malaysia, contributed a total of 571 units or 1.0% of total Commercial Vehicles (TIV) of 65,579 units. There is still some ways to go in terms of making TATA major player here in Malaysia.

May we suggest something? Try bringing in an automatic for the Prime Mover. We've heard from the people who have driven it that the quality of the trucks are very good (we personally like the build quality in the trucks) and some actually want TATA to actually go automatic like the European prime movers. Cost aside of course!
