Truck News: Syarikat Logistik Petikemas Renews Its Repair & Maintenance Contract With Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Commercial Vehicles

Syarikat Logistik Petikemas Sdn Bhd, an integrated one stop logistics company has renewed their Repair and Maintenance package contract with Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Commercial Vehicles (MBMCV). The renewal upgrades the previous contract, which was first signed in 2012.

The previous contract between  Petikemas and MBMCV consisted of a five year term and mileage of 600,000 km, whichever occured earlier. This contract renewal entails an additional two years of service until October 2019 or 200,000km, whichever comes first.

The contract is a complate repair and maintenance package. It includes full scope coverage, including service, repair and maintenance, wear and tear, electrical, preventive and proactive maintenance. Assuring comprehensive coverage at a fixed monthly payment, Petikemas can enjoy hassle-free business operations for the next two years.

While this is only a two year extension of an original contract, MBMCV is confident that the partnership with Petikemas will achieve new milestones in the future. It has been MBMCV's goal has been to maintain an excellent support system for Petikemas’ Mercedes-Benz truck fleet so that the vehicles will be of optimum standard and have maximum up time.

As for Petikemas, they seem to be pleased with the after-sales care, which is why they have renewed this contract. Syarikat Logistik Petikemas will enjoy a peace-of-mind coverage for the next 200,000km and should benefit from an optimum cost to mileage ratio. This is usually the case when it comes to commercial fleet operators.

To those who are in the know, Petikemas is an integrated one stop, door to door logistics for forwarding, cross-border transportation (dry, reefer and Isotank transportation), cargo handling, container depot and warehousing. The company could be one of the fast growing logistics company in the ASEAN region.

They are one of the few companies who have operations set up in Thailand as well as Malaysia. I have to also add that this company could even benefit even more if and when borders in the ASEAN region open up fully like in the European Union countries.
